The Club Penguin Craze’s History:

The Club Penguin Craze is just in the early stages of evolution.

Hello, my name is Travis602, the owner, developer and author of The Club Penguin Craze. I joined Club Penguin back in late 2005, just after the official beta party for Club Penguin.

Since the moment I joined, I have been uncovering secrets of clothing items, bugs, glitches and awesome new stuff everyday on the island of Club Penguin. I have always wanted to make a website that was safe for all players to enjoy, read and learn about this game. So in late 2007 or early 2008, I made my first basic website called Tips 4 Penguins. I loved blogging about the game, throwing parties, sharing the cheats and secrets of Club Penguin I found throughout the week and of course helping others with the game. By about this time, there were some big names in Club Penguin being made. You may know of some if you remember the good old days of Club Penguin. These people were a massive inspiration to create this website, because they were doing what I would love to do; blog about Club Penguin’s cheats and secrets.

It got around mid-2008, where I decided to enhance my blog, and make it as exciting as I could, so I started getting into HTML coding. Everyday I was learning something new about web design and the awesome things you could make. It got to the point where I was happy with the blog, but it was still pretty plain. So I went looking for an alternative to make the blog a lot more… “groovy” I guess. I was looking for quite a few days and learning new things to try and make this grooviness happen, until I found something on the desktop of an old PC. “Adobe Photoshop” is what this thing was called. It was fantastic. I was used to Microsoft Paint, so opening this application and seeing all of its options, filters, brushes and effects was absolutely mind blowing. I straight away went to learn more about this program. Club Penguin wasn’t exactly big back then, so when I went to find how to remove the blue background from a screenshot of my penguins player card, it was exactly easy to find how to do it. I was stuck with an eraser and a Wacom tablet. After a few months of doing this slow process of erasing backgrounds and doing small graphic enhancements to the blog, Club Penguin did nothing but grow. More and more people started to play it and this virtual world was now filled with items and mini games. This meant a lot more blogging material to write about. I decided to move on from Tips 4 Penguins, and work on something bigger and more convenient for readers.

After a few long weeks of learning Photoshop, I was finally able to open a new website. This was called “Travis602’s CP Cheats”. I reopened the site as a big brother of Tips 4 Penguins. It was filled with newly made graphics, making it look a lot cooler then the plain old grayscale look of Tips 4 Penguins. I was actually amazed at how well this new site turned out, I was expecting to put a lot more work into it, but I guess the amount of time I spent learning HTML and coding languages and learning about Photoshop and creating new graphics.

It came to that year where more and more people were into blogging about Club Penguin, and there were some huge names roaming the island because of blogging. I realised that it was time I changed the name and look of Travis602’s CP Cheats. Hence, The Club Penguin Craze was born. I decided to make this website a place where all players can enjoy, learn and discover new things about Club Penguin.

But I have a feeling that The Club Penguin Craze… Is only the beginning.
